Prince of Peace® Children’s Home

The Prince of Peace Children’s Home (POPCH) is dedicated to serving children with special needs in the Wuqing District of Tianjin, China. It was founded in 2003 by Kenneth Yeung of the POP’s Foundation, in cooperation with the Civil Affairs Bureau of the Wuqing District.  This unique joint project – the first officially foreign run children’s home in China – is funded by the POP’s Foundation of USA and managed by World Vision International, China (a world-renowned humanitarian organization).

Over one hundred children call the POPCH home, where they receive the best possible rehabilitation services from dedicated staff.  These services are provided by the Children’s Rehabilitation Center (CRC) under the oversight of World Vision.  The CRC also provides services to children in the nearby community.

During the past seven years of operation, the Prince of Peace Children’s Home has earned numerous awards at the local, regional and national levels. POPCH was also appointed as the training hub in the areas of special education, rehabilitation and social work service by Ministry of Civil Affairs Management College starting March 2010.

And yet, far more important than any award, has been the deep satisfaction of seeing twenty children placed in families through domestic and foreign adoptions since 2007.
